TaxFolio calculates cost basis and capital gains/losses using data pulled from the exchanges, wallets, and brokers you connect, using the FIFO (first-in, first-out) accounting method. This data depends on the completeness and accuracy of the records those third parties provide, and on our software correctly interpreting them. Errors, missing transactions, mislabeled transaction types, incorrect historical pricing, or gaps in connected account history can all produce inaccurate results. You are responsible for reviewing all data and figures for completeness and accuracy before relying on them.
